Vehicles Covered New motor vehicles purchased or leased primarily for personal, family, or household use. Also covers motorcycles and towable recreational vehicles.
Repair Attempts Required 4 attempts for the same defect substantially impairing use, value, or safety; OR 2 attempts for a serious safety defect; OR 30 cumulative days out of service.
Coverage Period 24 months or 24,000 miles from original delivery, whichever comes first.
Motorcycles Covered Yes
Used Car Coverage Yes — repairs only, vehicles still within the original manufacturer's express warranty period.
Remedy Replacement vehicle or full refund (purchase price, taxes, fees, less a mileage allowance). Texas requires a "three strikes" process through TxDMV before court action.
