I never used AUTOPEDIA before. I don't like to give my name & address out over the Internet, but I did and this time I'm glad. I have been searching for a truck for a few weeks, went to some dealers to see what type of truck I wanted. Well most of the dealers tried to sell me something other than what I wanted. This is how easy it was. I filled out the inquiry from AUTOPEDIA got a response from Marshall the next day he lined me up with a Ford dealer. The Ford contact called me, and we setup a meeting. The Ford contact sat at his computer while I looked at the brochure and told him the options I wanted, he typed in the options and gave me a price. Then we changed/added options and again I had another price. All I had to do is decide on what price I wanted. The Ford contact said look over the options and call him back if I wanted the truck. A few days later I went to AutoLand well he tried to sell me something else and their price for the same truck was higher. I also used Auto-by-Tel and the dealer contact tried to sell me a truck that I did not want, and never followed up with the information I requested. All I would say it I would do it again. No hassle, No pressure Thanks Marshall and AUTOPEDIA D. Vidakovich
Thanks for putting a fire under some of these dealerships for me. I've already spoken to one in Oxford, PA (Country Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, etc.), and I am planning on buying a car from them tomorrow morning. Talk about fast results!!! They called on Wednesday afternoon, faxed me two dealer invoices ($200 for dealer profit), and now I'll be picking up the car tomorrow. The best part of this entire process is that they're located only 15-20 minutes from where I live. Needless to say, I'm VERY impressed with Autopedia. After having dealt with other "internet car buyer services," (who seem to be all talk and no action)--yours is by far the most proactive service on the internet. I'd like to thank you personally for your time and effort on my behalf--I truly appreciate it. G.P. Marcano
I picked up my new car on Saturday and am very pleased. The car looks and runs great (so far)! The service that was given to me was excellent and the transaction went as smooth and easy as one could possibly imagine. I felt and was given no pressure to purchase anything else (i.e. alarm system, undercoating, extended warranty) unless I requested it. Thank you for all your work and guidance in helping me purchase the Malibu LS. I don't think I could have had such a pleasant experience without your help. I would strongly recommend Franchini to other area buyers looking to purchase a Chevrolet. And, naturally without hesitation, I will also recommend other people I know to contact Autopedia to assist them in buying their next new car. :-) Best regards, S. Komanesky
I purchased the Toyota Avalon as you directed. Toyota dealers are tough. The deal you directed me was better than I got from any other brokers. I paid $22,000 for the basic Avalon XL with a single CD player. Thanks for your help...Rudy
I bought 740i from Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo. The Sales person's name was Scott Branan and he was very good. I paid 1400 dollars over the Invoice and the car came with the option of DSP stereo. I think the whoe package including tax and registration, etc. was about $ 63500. It was paid by Cash. The date was March 15th. and I picked up the car on March 17th. I tried other dealers but the Peter pan was the best aand had the most stock. Thanks for your service. I would be happy to recommend your service to my friends. Best regards, Y. Kim Los Altos Hills
I am very happy to report that I am now the proud owner of a beautiful Range Rover. Thanks to Mission Viejo Land Rover and the quality service of Ken Wright and Tony Baumgartner who assisted me in the sale; not to forget the help of Autopedia and you, Marshall. The quick and directive response provided me a superior car buying experience; one I would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you and continued success. Kindly Yours, I. Delgado
We talked to Jim Hutson at Karl Malone Toyota. Thanks to you, we worked a deal on the 4runner we wanted for $1000 over invoice. The 4runner we chose did not exist on their lot, and so it will be shipped from another dealer in Arizona. We expect delivery to take place within the next 2-3 weeks. We'll send you another message when we take delivery. Thanks for all your efforts! We'll be sure and recommend Autopedia to our friends. Other people we know who have bought Toyota 4runners found that dealers weren't especially willing to work with them on price, probably because there's plenty of demand out there, so we're extremely pleased we got what we wanted for a good price. We are also extremely pleased we got a good price AND avoided all the dealer games they expect you to play when you set foot on their lot. M. Renaud
I got the truck at the Dealer in Pittsburg that you told me about.I got it for 300 over dealer cost they have been very nice.I am expecting it to come in any day. I ordered it on the 12th of November. I have told several of my friends about the way you helped me and expect you will hear from several people in Tyler before long. Thanks again and when I get ready to get my wife a new car I will be checking with you again myself. J. Greenwell
I purchased a 1997 Ford F-150 Supercab Lariat 4WD from Robin Thompson at Walker Ford in Clearwater Florida a day or two after you referred me to him. (Actually, I had to order it because the exact vehicle I wanted was not on the lot--I'm expecting devlivery in late March/early April.) I paid $200 over Dealer Invoice for the vehicle, over $5500 under MSRP. I don't have the exact number in front of me at the moment, or I'd give it to you (the other two stick out in my mind). Overall, I'd say I was pleased and would refer any of my friends to your service. Regards, J. Haller
I apologize about being so long on the thank you note, but your service is greatly appreciated. Because of you and your company we were actually able to buy our minivan at $200 dollars below their actual cost. My wife said you wanted a honest opinion of the dealer. Here it is. The sales manager called and said he could get it at $200 dollars over their cost. He then passed us off to the person we had first talked to when we looked at minivans for the first time. After about 2 hours of telephone negotiation we realized that the van that we had discussed didn't exist and we would have to order one. A dealer then called from Neosho and said he had exactly what we were looking for, but after further discussion he wasn't exactly sure. We wound up getting a few options and upgrades that we hadn't intended to purchase such as the luxary wheels, and two tone paint package. However that was all they had in stock. By the time the negotiations were over we finished at $200 dollars below their price. I'm not sure if she made a mistake, if she did we didn't bring it to her attention. Our sheet of options matched exactly with hers and we came out at $200 below. I would recommend the sales lady her name is Sheryl Sullenger, however the dealer never checked to see what exactly we wanted and blindly said yes he had it. Over all I have been pleased. Thanks for all the help Marshall. I've already recommended you and Autopedia to several other people. Sincerely, J. Welborn
I bought one on Dec 24 last year from Randy Kuehl Honda cars in Cedar Rapids which you introduced to me. It was Honda Civic LX model with standard option. I paid $14,594 for only car and $15418.70 in total. When I visited there, Walter, sales manager, explained about car and price frankly and kindly. So, I don't need to negotiate with him because he was so honest about invoice price and margin. I really think I bought one at suitable price without time consuming research and negotiating. However, I want to really appreciate for your help. It really helped me to save my time and to buy at a suitable price. Thank you very much and I wish you will have a happy new year. Y.S. Kim
I bought a Nissan 240 SX SE for $21,500.00 at Capitol Nissan in San Jose. The sales experience was excellent. The day I bought the car, I was in and out in about 1.5 hrs. I had one minor issue with the after sales support, but it was insignificant: ....No problem. I still gave the sales rep an excellent rating on the company quality control questionnaire. N. Pineda
Thank you very much for getting back to me so quickly. I am very impressed with your service and the quote you got me from this dealer. However, I do not want to buy this car for several reasons. First, I had seen this car several weeks ago. I had asked the salesperson (Nick) a quote. He said his manager is busy and would call me and let me know the price. He then calls the next day saying that his manager says he can not give me the price over the telephone and I have to go back there in order to get a quote. I was very upset and wanted to speak to the manager. Obviously he was busy!. I aked him to ask the manager to give me a call. I never heard from him until today. I do not think that this is a good customer service. Second, the interior of the car is black or quartz which is a dark color for me. Also the color of the car I am getting is Cashmere beige, my first choice. Third, I am a professor, teaching business management. I do not feel ethically right to go back on an agreement after giving a deposit, although I know I can get my deposit back. Although I am paying more than the price you quoted, I would stay with my present choice. As I said, I am very impressed with your excellent service, and it is much better than Auto By Tel in many diffrent ways. I would recommend your service to my friends and students. Thanks again. Sorry, I could not make use of your referral. Professor Sal A. Binghamton, NY
I leased the sebring convertible from Ramsey Chrysler. THANKYOU for the great service. L. Passannante
Per our phone conversation, I'd like to reiterate how grateful I am for all your help, and for making leasing a new car so easy. I took your advice and dealt only with Satich Chand. There was no dispute over the price you'd negotiated for me, leaving nothing more to do than select a color and decide on the best financing. Satich was very helpful in that regard, explaining the different terms of both financing and leasing. The dealership gave me what I considered to be a generous amount as a trade-in, and Satich took time to go over the warranty and maintenance schedule. I am certainly eager to pass such a positive experience along to others, and think that as this approach becomes more popular, dealerships may be forced to change their approaches to selling cars. The bottom line is that I ended up with a brand new Toyota Corolla VE 4-door at a great price and with no hassle. Thanks again, Marshall. You turned an experience I'd been dreading into one that was incredibly easy. Sincerely, B. Fisher
Used the service. Bought the car. $2000 off sticker, $300 over invoice. Thanks Marshall for making it happen. A painless car buying experience. D. Mitchell Washington, DC
Good news! I ended up buying a car from Aaron Hamblin at Pacific Coast Volvo in Santa Cruz. After talking extensively with both Aaron and John Zambetti of Smythe Volvo (on separate occasions), we settled on a new 98 S70 T-5. It was a little more than we planned on spending, but Aaron came down alot. Out the door we paid $34500. Both Aaron and John were very helpful and they both worked very hard to earn our business, unfortunately for John, his car was a demo vs. Aaron's brand new car, plus there was a $2000 dealer incentive on "new" 98's. The bottom line was, the new car came out over $1000 less than the demo. Never the less, I would not hesitate to recommend that someone looking for a new Volvo talk to either of these two gentlemen. The whole car buying experience has been very easy. The fact that we already knew what we wanted and had driven examples and shopped around, laid the ground work. Using the Autopedia web-site was straight forward, though I must admit I never thought I'd end up buying a new car this way. Marshall set me up with two dealer representatives within days, both of which had pretty good offers up front. He said that the dealerships and representatives that he dealt with (and would set me up with), would be able to get me the best price without the normal hassles that are associated with car buying. He was right, after wheeling and dealing and what I thought was concluding that a used vehicle was the only way I could go (price wise), an offer came back too good to turn down. It was never even necessary to set foot in either dealership until the deal was done. Autopedia and Pacific Coast Volvo definitely saved me time and money, alot of money. Thanks again, C Shipley
Hi, I did buy from this dealer. I got a better quote (by about $500) than AutoByTel and the dealer I was working with was just much nicer. I did not buy the car quoted, but a ordered a similar car, and still got a good deal. I also gave a favorable report on your service on the E46 message board (I think it's www.bimmer.org). Thanks, G. Toomajanian
Believe it or not, I have never bought a new car before...and I was dreading it!! A friend of mine found your service on the Internet and we began exploring my options. Once I decided what I wanted and submitted it to you guys with a radius that I was willing to travel to pick up my car - the bids started rolling in!! Everyone dealer I talked to was very pleasant and answered all my questions. Of course, my decision was made by A) what I wanted and B) the lowest quote. It was SIMPLE!!! I have told everyone "This is the way to go..." All the hard work is done for you. All you do is set the deal and then go pick up your car. By the way...I LOVE THE CAR!!!! (and the fact that it was so simple to purchase, for what I feel like was an excellent price, makes it all that much more enjoyable;-) You guys are doing and awesome job - keep it up!!! L Nelson
I have ordered my 323i from John Shafer at Cutter BMW, and anticipate delivery in March. Dealing directly with John went very smoothly (much better to deal with the head honcho). He sweetened his offer to $1300 over invoice (the real invoice without any of the advertising or training stuff), plus he added a set of mats. This is effectively $1200 over invoice -- close enough to my target price of $1000. Thank you very much for your help. In parallel I was shopping all the 20 dealers in Southern Cal (by fax), John gave me easily the best initial offer. So far I am very happy with my experience of Autopedia and Cutter motors. I anticipate the whole deal will go the same way. Much better than Autobytel, whose dealer (Long Beach) has yet to contact me! L J Lewins
I managed to make my purchase of a Civic from Larry Hopkins Honda on Friday. Although I was unable to speak to the fleet manager at the time, I was still helped very well by Felix, one of the sales representatives. Buying the car was a very smooth and easy process. Also, on Friday I received many calls from the other dealers who you had contacted. I was not able to call all of them back, but it was excellent to see that Autopedia had arranged everything for me. I am very impressed that I was able to receive so many realistic quotes from Autopedia. I will definetely recommend this service to any of my friends who will be looking to purchase a new car. Thanks Marshall! best regards, R. Hsieh
Thanks so much for your usual excellent service. This time you outdid yourself what with us needing a new car so quickly. At any rate, we saw Adam Barnick at Dick Gidron Ford this afternoon and closed a deal on the 1998 Wedgewood blue Explorer that you let us know about. We ended up leasing it as before. Mr. Barnick is an excellent person to do business with. He's straight as an arrow and works things out very efficiently, very quickly. He certainly knows his business! Thanks again for your help. It's a pleasure to do business with you and you'll probably hear from us again in the Spring when we may buy another car! D. Kirschstein
I bought the car on Saturday from Reeves in Tampa. They had the color I preferred and the best price. The salesperson assigned to me, Rick Marsh, was prepared for me when I arrived on Saturday. He was very friendly and handled the completion of the sale well. I also spoke at length with Victor Licata at Lindell. He followed up with me today as well just in case my deal with Reeves did not go through. It was also pleasant working with Victor. Your service is great! This has been my most relaxing automobile purchase in my life. I will never do it the "other way" again. Vivian
Thanks for the great service that you provided through Autopedia. It made buying my Honda a pleasant experience. Buying through the net seems to bypass the hard work of trying to beat professional car salesmen at their own game. I tried 4 services on the net and yours provided the best price. But what really put Autopedia above the others was the personal service that I received. You will hear from me when I buy my next car. Thank Again, E. Isaacs
Finding Autopedia on the "NET" was one of the best car buying experiences that has ever happened to me!! Everyone knows how stressful buying a new car can be but Autopedia took the stress out of buying. All the "footwork" was done for me. No hassle with salesmen, no going from dealer to dealer trying to get the best price and still not being sure I did, this was all done for me by Autopedia. I'm even twice as excited because last year I bought my daughter a car and I was treated the same way this year when I bought my new car. I've told everyone I know about your excellent service. I hope to be talking to you in the future. THANK YOU!!! A. J. Bednar
Done Deal!! Went last night and took it home. Get this - it's the SAME car (THE CAR) I saw at Stevens Creek that was "sold". They said it was a dealer trade or whatever the terminology is that's used - and it came over from Stevens Creek!! I got the car I wanted......at $16,300 after the rebate.Unbelievable! Fred was FANTASTIC to work with. I do and will recommend Autopedia and Fred @ Capitol Nissan to anybody looking for a painless way to buy a car. Thanks again Marshall - you're the man.... :) Best Regards, B. Neill
I'd like to take a moment to express my appreciation for all the assistance you and your company offered while shopping for a new car. My decision to buy a new Toyota Camry was also based on consumer information I received from you. I found Autopedia to be a very high service oriented company with excellent customer representatives as yourself in assisting with what can be to most consumers a "stressful" purchase. May you continue to assist all car buyers with such great and excellent expertise. The excellent customer service I received by you exceeded all my expectations. Thanks again and Happy Holidays. E. Aragon
Just thought I'd "E" you and say thanks for all the help, my wife went this weekend to see JEFF BENARD at Fremont Honda and what a "DEAL" I can honestly say that this man would haved danced if I told him to in order to close this deal, he was the most level minded bottom line sales person I've ever; and not only that I also got a CD changer, Floor Mats, Tinted Windows vinyl protective coating and a cleaning kit, now that a deal!! all for the price of $21,840.00 plus sales tax and license and lease fees; but he also took my 95 Accord. Well my wife and I felt we owe you this gratefully thanks, and I will recommend to my friends to contact your or autopedia.com. Very Sincerely, Mr. & Mrs. Vallejo
Sorry it took me so long to send you this e-mail. Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with my new car!! You assisted me tremendously in this process, especially to help clear up all misunderstandings. Mike made things extremely easy, as everything was handled over the phone at my convenience. He even was correct in his estimate of when my car was supposed to come in!! He was very accommodating regarding the future servicing of my car, including free pick up at my home, and a free loaner. It was great having my car delivered to me right at work. Bill was extremely knowledgeable, and spent time going over every detail with me. Great customer service. All in all I am extremely pleased, and I will be recommending both your service and the Prestige dealership to everyone I know. I'm so glad my brother referred me to you. Sincerely, C. Rien
My apologizes... Due to my own problems, it took a little longer to get the car than I anticipated. I did in fact "seal the deal" last Thursday and I've been so happy, I forgot the promise I made to you to let you know how it went. My experience with Poway Chrysler/Plymouth/Jeep was very, very good. I spoke with Steve Hart there on 3/5 and we settled on a price for the car of invoice + $300. Then once I made up my mind exactly what color and the options I wanted, I let Steve know on Friday. On Monday they called and had located my car. In fact it was one that was just delivered from the factory that morning. I stopped by in the morning on Tuesday 3/16 to look the car over. It still had the shrink-wrap on it and had not been prepped but it was the car I wanted, so I told them to put a sold sign on it. They prepped it up over the next two days and like I said, we closed the deal on Thursday 3/18. Except for 'my dragging my feet', this buying experience was exceptional. I would without hesitation recommend this method and Autopedia to anyone as a way to by a car. Thank you sincerely for a great service. R. Scheller
I have just returned from D & C Honda, in Tenafly, NJ, the pleased new owner of a 1999 Honda Civic EX - thanks to you and your service at Autopedia. I was impressed with the speed and efficiency of your quote system, and especially pleased that you helped me find exactly the car I was seeking at a very attractive price. Just as impressive was your personal attention to my questions about the service, and the effective and direct advice you provided about the quotations I would receive. Furthermore, I must thank you for introducing me to the fine personnel of D & C Honda, whose pleasant, professional, and efficient attention have also impressed me very favorably. It's a genuine pleasure to have found a dealership that seems to place such a high value on their customers. I showed up today almost two hours before I was expected, and yet they were unruffled, accomodating, and businesslike in finalizing the sale and putting me on the road as quickly as they could. As the Assistant Dean of a School of Business, I have fairly high standards and expectations when it comes to good business practice. I have no hesitation in saying that those have been met to my complete satisfaction. Please be assured I will enthusiastically recommend Autopedia to all my acquaintances and colleagues who may be in the market for a car. With my thanks and regards, K. E. Dennis
